About the Department
The Department of Zoology at Bhakt Mata Karma Govt. Girls College, Balod was established in the academic year 2020–21. The department offers undergraduates (B.Sc.) with Zoology as one of the core subjects along with Botany and Chemistry.
Zoology is a branch of biological science that deals with the study of animals, including their structure, classification, physiology, behavior, and habitats. The department focuses on both theoretical knowledge and practical laboratory work, enabling students to develop a clear understanding of biological concepts and scientific methods.
The department aims to provide quality education and encourages students to develop scientific thinking, research interest, and environmental awareness.Through various academic and co-curricular activities such as seminars,laboratory work, and educational programs, the department works towards the overall intellectual and personal development of students.
