The Department of Political Science,established in 2020, aims to impart quality education in political theory,governance, and public affairs. The department provides students with a strong academic foundation while encouraging active engagement with contemporary political issues at local,national, and global levels.
Through a blend of theoretical knowledge and practical exposure, the department prepares students to become responsible citizens, informed leaders, and professionals in diverse fields such as public administration, law, academia,and social services.

Future Plan-
• Introduce new interdisciplinary courses such as International Relations, Public Policy,Human Rights, and Gender Studies.
• Develop smart classrooms and digital learning resources (e-content, online lectures,LMS platforms).
• Promote fieldwork and practical exposure through visits to Parliament, State Assemblies, NGOs, and local governance institutions (Panchayats).
• Encourage student participation in debates, model parliament, youth parliament, and quiz competitions.
• Create a career guidance and counseling cell for UPSC, State PSC, NET/JRF, and other competitive exams.
• Develops departmental library and e-resources with updated books, journals, and databases.
• Focus on community engagement and extension activities such as voter awareness campaigns and civic education programs.
• Strengthen alumni network for mentoring and placement support.
• Encourage use of ICT and innovative teaching methods for effective learning.
• Work towards NAAC/NIRF quality improvement and overall academic excellence.
